Breguet’s sophisticated Type XXII – the first and only series made Mechanical Chronograph with 10Hz frequency – takes timekeeping to greater heights...

The Breguet name is not just a legend in the world of watches, but is an acclaimed one in the story of the conquest of the skies as well. Louis Breguet, the great-great-grandson of the illustrious watchmaker and company founder pioneered advances in aviation – the first helicopter to leave the ground with a pilot on board and his first biplanes and hydroplanes.

In sync with these achievements, Breguet supplied aeronautical firms and airline companies with sophisticated chronographs. The best-known aeronautical watch is undoubtedly the TYPE XX.Aeronavale. Following its success and to celebrate the 45th anniversary of this iconic model, Breguet introduced the Type XXI which retains the military bearing of the original Type XX watch in a more modern interpretation.

Now, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Type XX, Breguet unveils a contemporary, technically updated reinterpretation of that legendary chronograph – the Type XXII design. The timekeeper is modern, sleek and stylish and houses chronograph movement with silicon escapement and flat balance spring. The Breguet Type XXII chronograph naturally features a flyback function, allowing the totaliser to be returned to zero and instantly restarted in one and the same operation. Its second time-zone indicator is ideal for globe-trotting. So, wear it and take to the skies!
