Beatle John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, will showcase her creativity in the capital with photographs, installations, performances and films...
Peace activist, musician, filmmaker and avant-garde artist – Yoko Ono’s creativity works at different registers. It invites participation and introspection from the audience. For the first time, Indian art aficionados will experience a taste of her multi-faceted talent when Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi, brings Yoko Ono to India from January 13-March 12, 2012. Apart from latest installations, the exhibition in the capital will recall some of her legendary works – like My Mommy Is Beautiful that invites viewers to cover empty canvases and walls with messages and photographs of their mother as a monumental dedication to motherhood and love.
