A Tryst With Tradition
Published: Volume 20, Issue 3, March, 2012
The new versions of Breguet's visionary model Tradition 7057 transport watch-making into a new dimension altogether....

The Breguet Manufacture has always believed in maintaining the excellence of its timekeepers even as it reinvents the very circle of time itself, creating new masterpieces with a knowhow that spans over two centuries. The brand’s landmark Tradition finds itself in the very exclusive circle of iconic fine watch-making creations with three newly minted versions of Tradition 7057. The first is in an 18-kt red gold case and a 507DR calibre with red gold-plated finish; the other two have an 18-kt white gold or red gold case housing a movement with a matt grey NAC finish. Each model, in its own way, emphasises their technical architecture – the unique construction that shows off almost all of its components – bridges, gears, escapement and the famous ‘old-fashioned’ pare-chute shock absorber in hand-bevelled steel. Tradition, with a contemporary state-of-the-art twist!
