In tune with the tradition of unmatched innovation in horology, Ulysse Nardin Chairman, the world’s first and finest luxury hybrid smart phone, enhances the company’s lineage of historic timepieces

Whoever says it is difficult to blend high-end technology with sophisticated luxury, must in fact take a look at Ulysse Nardin Chairman. Launched in early 2012, the stunner is a stylish amalgamation of rigorous research and a fine heritage of 166 years, already making it one of the most palatial smart phones to date.

Partnering with Scientific Cellular Innovations, a pioneer in uniting leading technologies and elegant design into heralded consumer products, the Swiss watch-making powerhouse Ulysse Nardin has ensured that the Chairman pairs the mechanical art of watch-making with latest technology. Much to the delight of luxury connoisseurs worldwide, the hand-held masterpiece embodies Ulysse Nardin’s core values of expert craftsmanship, heritage and timeless style and is now the most celebrated and in-demand luxury creation in the world.

The Chairman features many of Ulysse Nardin’s iconic design elements including the brand’s distinctive mechanical watch rotor. Displayed on the phone’s rear side beneath sapphire crystal, the fully functional rotor creates kinetic energy in the same fashion as a wristwatch, wound automatically by the natural motion of the owner. Additionally, the Chairman incorporates a working crown that can be hand-wound. Both the rotor and the crown fuel the Chairman’s power reserve.

Made from over 300 hand-made parts, fashioned from the finest materials, the smart phone is hand-assembled. The hand-finished anodised aerospace grade aluminum alloy, 18 carat rose gold cases, 22 carat gold rotors, sapphire crystal, carbon fibre, marine grade stainless steel and rhodium-plated components give it that polished look. The capacitive touch screen is crafted from sapphire crystal. The iconic Ulysse Nardin anchor logo that appears on all iterations of the Chairman only enhances its features.

To complement the hand-held masterpiece, comes the world’s finest docking station, in fine lacquered wood. A work of art in its own right, the hand assembled masterpiece resembles the famed Ulysse Nardin Ship Chronometers and comprises of over 260 individual parts. A unique, one-of-a-kind creation, it charges the battery and backs-up all data to an exterior USB, allowing easy transfer of information back and forth from the phone’s 32GB memory to external storage. It also includes a pair of premium speakers which can be driven by most Bluetooth devices and used as a speakerphone. With this multi-functional creation, expect seamless use of the Chairman in multiple homes, offices and private yachts or planes.
