The burnt, fried and injured features of the figure as the assailant in ‘While now again’, openly walking towards his destination of terror, predicts his fate and represents the minds that conjure such acts of terror. He seems to walk in a pristine environment that we the viewers imagine, only imagine, is safe. The sky seems to have been smattered in a hue that mixed blood with raging fire. In ‘Pray or fly’ and ‘As we speak’, the figure may represent the victim both in and around the sites, also desperately wounded, looking towards the flames that rise from the buildings which burn with others who meet a terrible fate inside. The bloody and injured figure in ‘Pray or fly’ seems to look upwards, as if demanding some sort of sanity and justice or simply venting at a higher force that he feels could perhaps be answerable to the insanity that is being witnessed below, leaving the victims and those who survive horrified at the cruel mind that can inflict terror such as this. These are photographs of objects that have been fried in boiling oil after being coated in gram flour. This is a part of a series of images that create a body of work titled ‘My deep fried life.’
